AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® — Frequently Asked Questions

Here we summarize, for a general audience, the basic thinking behind AWG ORIGIN®, QPA®, fascia, and quantum medicine. These explanations include research hypotheses drawn from related books and from MIMRA, and do not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

Q1

What is AWG ORIGIN®?

AWG ORIGIN® is a medical device and frequency-technology brand handled by ASIAS Corp. Building on wave-therapy research by Dr. Masayuki Matsuura and others, and on background such as US Patent 6,424,864 B1, ASIAS presents it within a framework of "biological tuning" — connecting it to QPA®, fascia, EZ water, dynamic equilibrium, and quantum medicine, and viewing the body as a network.

This explanation introduces the technical background and research philosophy of AWG ORIGIN®; it does not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

Q2

What is QPA®?

QPA® is a name derived from "Quasi-Particle Accelerator." At ASIAS, it is both a concept used to explain the theoretical background of AWG ORIGIN®, and the registered brand name of the devices we handle.

Based on the quantum-medicine interpretation presented by theoretical physicist Dr. Kunio Yasue in his book The Birth of Quantum Medicine, it is positioned as a theoretical model for understanding the body as a network in which fascia, EZ water, electromagnetic states, and dynamic equilibrium interact.

This explanation is a theoretical account based on ASIAS's research hypotheses and related literature; it does not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

Q3

Is AWG ORIGIN® the same as an ordinary home-use low-frequency therapy device?

No, it is not the same. Ordinary home-use low-frequency therapy devices are governed by JIS T 2003 ("Home Electric Treatment Equipment"), which sets a base frequency of 1,200Hz or below.

By contrast, US Patent 6,424,864 B1 — part of the technical background of AWG ORIGIN® — describes a method using multiple frequencies selected from a range of 1Hz to 10,000Hz. ASIAS presents AWG ORIGIN® in connection with QPA®, fascia, EZ water, dynamic equilibrium, and quantum medicine.

This explanation introduces the technical background of AWG ORIGIN®; it does not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

Q4

What is fascia?

Fascia is the general term for the connective tissue that envelops muscles, organs, blood vessels, and nerves, linking the entire body three-dimensionally. It has drawn attention as an important tissue for understanding whole-body function — from the perspective of tension, gliding, fluid environment, and a new understanding of pain seen through the lens of fascia.

Q5

What is EZ water?

EZ water refers to "Exclusion Zone Water," or the so-called fourth phase of water — a concept proposed by Dr. Gerald Pollack. At ASIAS, it is used as a model for thinking about fascia, the extracellular matrix, and electronic information transfer in the body.

Q6

Does this guarantee a medical effect?

No. On our public pages, we do not present AWG ORIGIN® or QPA® as guaranteeing the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease. For symptoms or medical conditions, please consult a physician or other qualified healthcare professional.

Q7

What kind of company is ASIAS Corp.?

ASIAS Corp. was founded in 1998 by Dr. Masayuki Matsuura, and sells and leases devices related to AWG ORIGIN® / QPA®. Based in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan, ASIAS holds a license to sell and lease highly controlled medical devices (License No. Hamaken-Hama-A-11-820).

Q8

What is the background of AWG ORIGIN®'s development?

The technical background of AWG ORIGIN® lies in wave-therapy research by Dr. Masayuki Matsuura and others. Dr. Matsuura focused on the effects of weak low-frequency signals on the body and conducted repeated research into frequency technology. The related technology is described, among other sources, in US Patent 6,424,864 B1, "Method and apparatus for wave therapy."

This explanation introduces the technical background and research philosophy of AWG ORIGIN®; it does not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

Q9

What is MIMRA (the Matrix Integrative Medicine Research Association)?

MIMRA (Matrix Integrative Medicine Research Association) is a research group that views the body not as a "collection of parts" but as an "interlinked network," from the perspective of fascia, EZ water, bioelectricity, and dynamic equilibrium. Drawing on recent medical papers as well as insights from East Asian medicine, it academically explores the theoretical background of AWG ORIGIN® / QPA®.

Q10

What research and academic activity is AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® connected to?

There are records introducing AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® in connection with research and academic activity, including peer-reviewed papers. Of particular note is a peer-reviewed paper on low-frequency electrical stimulation and integrative complementary medicine (Chiba Medical Journal, 2024) by a research group at Chiba University's Graduate School of Medicine, which serves as an important academic reference.

Other activities include participation in Aichi Medical University's endowed course on pain medicine development, presentations at the Japanese Society for Integrative Medicine (including a luncheon seminar at its 29th Annual Congress), and registration with J-GLOBAL, run by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).

These are records of research and academic activity, and do not guarantee the diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any specific disease.

The treatment provided at facilities using AWG ORIGIN® devices is referred to here as AWG ORIGIN® treatment. In Japan, the name of this treatment or service is also covered by a registered service mark held by an ASIAS group company (Registration No. 6320554 and others), separate from the device brand "AWG ORIGIN® / QPA®."

For details, please see our AWG ORIGIN® treatment introduction page.

Q23

Does it work from a distance?

We sometimes receive inquiries asking, "Can this be done remotely?" Here is a straightforward explanation, based on how the technology actually works.

To put the conclusion first: AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® is not a technology designed to act at a distance. It is a device used with pads (electrodes) placed directly on the body, and due to the basic properties of electromagnetism, the electrical signal it generates remains confined to the immediate vicinity of the pads — on the order of a few centimeters.

A familiar comparison may help: radio, television, and mobile-phone signals travel long distances because they are broadcast from dedicated antennas engineered for their specific frequency — a broadcast tower, or the small antenna inside a smartphone. The frequency band used by AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® sits far below that of everyday wireless devices — a range never intended to be broadcast through space.

TypeApproximate Frequency Band Used
AWG ORIGIN® / QPA®15Hz – 10,000Hz (10kHz)
AM Radioapprox. 526.5kHz – 1,606.5kHz
FM Radioapprox. 76.1MHz – 94.9MHz
Smartphone (4G/5G)approx. 700MHz – 3.7GHz

The frequency used by AWG ORIGIN® is more than 50 times lower than even AM radio, the lowest of the examples above, and hundreds of thousands of times lower than the frequencies used for smartphone communication. The lower the frequency, the larger the antenna required to broadcast it any distance — so a pad the size of a palm cannot physically send a signal through space the way radio waves do. In our own measurements using an electric-field meter, signal strength dropped sharply just a few centimeters from the pad.

Some explanations invoke "quantum entanglement." Entanglement is a real physical phenomenon, but a basic conclusion of quantum mechanics is that it cannot be used to send information or energy from one place to another (this is known as the no-communication theorem, a well-established result found in quantum-mechanics textbooks). Entanglement is also an extremely fragile phenomenon that can only be sustained for any length of time under special conditions close to absolute zero and a vacuum. Creating a meaningful entangled state from the human body at room temperature, or from an everyday electrical device, and maintaining it over a long distance, is not realistic given current physical knowledge.

AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® is provided as a device that acts through pads placed directly on the body. If you encounter a treatment or service claiming to offer "remote treatment," we would encourage you to first ask for its technical basis — by what mechanism, and how, it is said to act at a distance.
