To put the conclusion first: AWG ORIGIN® / QPA® is not a technology designed to act at a distance. It is a device used with pads (electrodes) placed directly on the body, and due to the basic properties of electromagnetism, the electrical signal it generates remains confined to the immediate vicinity of the pads — on the order of a few centimeters.
A familiar comparison may help: radio, television, and mobile-phone signals travel long distances because they are broadcast from dedicated antennas engineered for their specific frequency — a broadcast tower, or the small antenna inside a smartphone. The frequency used by AWG ORIGIN® is more than 50 times lower than even AM radio, the lowest of the examples above, and hundreds of thousands of times lower than the frequencies used for smartphone communication. The lower the frequency, the larger the antenna required to broadcast it any distance — so a pad the size of a palm cannot physically send a signal through space the way radio waves do.
